Winch Empowerment, Air-Ground Linkage — UAV Cargo Winch Opens a New Path for Medical Supplies Transportation

Medical supplies transportation is the "last mile" of life protection. When ground transportation is restricted by terrain, congestion, disasters and other factors, the UAV cargo winch, with its advantages of flexibility, efficiency and precision, breaks spatial barriers and builds a convenient and reliable "air lifeline".

As an integration product of UAV and high-precision winch technology, it is equipped with a lightweight winch device, which can realize aerial hoisting, precise delivery and rapid recovery of medical supplies. It does not require a dedicated take-off and landing site or close manual contact, easily solving the core dilemma of "urgency, difficulty and remoteness" in medical supplies transportation.

In emergency rescue scenarios, it is a key force racing against time. When a patient in the First Hospital of Jingzhou was in urgent need of blood during surgery, the UAV equipped with a winch shortened the 35-minute blood transport distance to 7 minutes, winning valuable golden time for the rescue. At disaster sites, it can cross ruins and floods to deliver first-aid supplies and recover patient samples. Its lightweight design allows for quick deployment and adaptation to various complex terrains.


In remote mountainous areas, it solves the pain points of "difficulty in seeing a doctor and long distance for medicine delivery". Compared with ground transportation which is time-consuming and high-cost, the UAV cargo winch can reduce the material transportation time to 10-15 minutes, with efficiency increased by more than 80% and cost reduced by about 70%. The "Life Route" in Qinghai completes blood transportation in only 15 minutes, enabling grass-roots people to obtain key medical supplies in a timely manner.

 

In urban medical care, it achieves efficient "point-to-point" linkage: Shanghai Ruijin Hospital uses it to reduce the transportation time of intraoperative pathological specimens from 20 minutes to 2 minutes, increasing efficiency by nearly 10 times; the Wuxi UAV blood transportation route crosses 13 kilometers in 15 minutes, and the stable control of the winch ensures cold chain safety. It can also quickly deliver AEDs, breaking the limit of the "4-minute golden emergency rescue period".


Its core advantages are highly suitable for medical needs: centimeter-level precise delivery + constant temperature transportation to protect the safety of supplies; no need for dedicated venues and modular design to adapt to multiple scenarios; multiple protection mechanisms allow 24-hour deployment; the operation cost is significantly lower than that of traditional methods, suitable for regular delivery.


With the development of the low-altitude economy and technological iteration, its application continues to expand. In the Chongqing military-civilian collaborative demonstration project, it completed the material transportation that usually takes 45 minutes in only 26 minutes, demonstrating outstanding emergency value. In the future, it will continue to make breakthroughs in load capacity and endurance, build an "air-ground integrated" network with ground transportation, and make high-quality medical resources accessible to every corner.
