The XD-MAX payload winch is engineered for heavy-duty aerial work: it supports up to 150 kg of suspended load and ships with a 25 m cable as standard — specifications that place it firmly in the industrial class for rescue, construction, logistics and inspection tasks.

Two release philosophies, one goal: safe, on-target delivery

XD-MAX is offered with two hook variants: a traditional mechanical release and a smart auto-release (electric) hook. Both perform the essential safety function of automatically releasing the hook when the payload contacts the ground, reducing operator workload and improving deployment consistency. The electric smart hook adds an important operational advantage — a one-click mid-air cast capability that lets pilots release a load on command while airborne, enabling precision drops and staged delivery that mechanical hooks cannot replicate.

Performance that pilots rely on

Smooth, predictable line handling is critical when flying heavy loads. XD-MAX delivers a controlled retraction speed of 0.1–0.4 m/s with a motor speed range of 32–128 RPM, giving operators the ability to lower and retrieve payloads gently and accurately. The unit’s energy profile is optimized for aerial platforms: it runs on battery power (44–52 V), consumes around 400 W at full load and uses less than 20 W while hovering — a balance of power and efficiency that preserves aircraft endurance.

Built-in safety, situational awareness and resilience

XD-MAX is packed with practical safety features: anti-reverse winding, automatic stop when bottoming out, power-failure braking that locks the drum, and real-time tension monitoring to detect unsafe load conditions. The system also includes load-status indicators (green/yellow/red) so crews can instantly assess weight conditions from the ground or cockpit. For night operations, the hook is fitted with navigation/cruise lights to increase visibility during low-light patrols and deployments. Those elements together reduce risk and make operations more predictable under pressure.

Integration and field customization

XD-MAX was designed to integrate with modern flight stacks: standard control modes include SBUS, PWM and remote control, with optional RS232/RS422 and CAN for ground-station development and bespoke automation. The winch’s compact form (main body ≈13 kg) and rugged molded housing make it straightforward to mount on heavy-lift platforms while resisting corrosion and wear. Options and custom configurations let teams tailor the winch to mission-specific demands.

How operators typically use it

From flood rescue and offshore resupply to precision logistics and construction support, XD-MAX proves valuable where heavy payloads meet constrained delivery windows. The smart hook’s one-click release is ideal for timed or staged drops; the mechanical release offers a simpler, low-complexity alternative when mid-air casting isn’t required. Either way, the winch’s combination of load capacity, controlled retraction and safety systems makes it a practical choice for professional drone operators.

We prepare two hoist versions for clients to choose, that is the mechanical release version and the smart auto release version. They can both achieve the auto release when the cargo touches the ground.

But the smart auto release hook version has the One click casting in the air while the mechanical release hook version couldn’t. Also there is a cruise light at the hook, which can be used for night patrols.
